XFM have opened a new poll to find their listener's favourite British debut album from 2011.

'Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds' was released through Noel's Sour Mash Records label in October and has since sold over half a million copies in the UK alone.

Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds play the first dates of 2012 tonight with the debut shows in Japan, at Tokyo Dome City Hall on 16th and 17th January.

Noel Gallagher has been nominated for 'Best British Male' at this year's BRIT Awards for his 'Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds' release. The full list of nominations was announced today at a ceremony at The Savoy Hotel.

Noel has previously won six BRITs with Oasis including the awards for 'Outstanding Contribution To Music' in 2007 and 'BRIT Album Of 30 Years' in 2010 for '(What's The Story) Morning Glory'.

This year's BRITs will be hosted by James Corden at The O2 on Tuesday 21st February. The ceremony will be broadcast on ITV1 in the UK.

Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds head out to Japan this week to play the first dates of 2012, beginning on 16th January at Tokyo's Tokyo Dome City.
