I just got back from this amazing show and everything sounded phenomenal. I saw Mr. Gallagher (and associates) at the Oasis show here in September of '05, but for a variety of reasons this one meant a lot more to me.
I knew that "Don't Look Back In Anger" would have to be the encore's finisher, but despite my best efforts to sing as loudly as possible, Noel didn't have us solo any of the choruses. After the first two rounds, I was still holding out hope that he'd let the music drop like it does at the end of the performance of the song on Familiar To Millions so that we could at least provide the a cappella version before he lets the music kick back in to finish it up.
I suspect if I do some YouTube searching, I'll find recent performances where the audience gets to handle the choruses, so I guess this long spiel was so I could ask if this was a reflection on our crowd tonight? Is it something that just doesn't happen when the song is performed in the U.S.? Or is my earlier suspicion incorrect and Noel always takes care of the choruses now?
Sorry for the wall of text.
anyone can confirm if there's a pit or no?? I got row 15, in the middle of sec A, which is a good seat.... if there's no pit. Also, any plans to meet before/after/at the show?
